Published 1903 this is the 65th edition of the reference book popularly known as "Burke's Peerage". Hardback. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering on front and spine. Covers are very shelf worn and faded but have been clumsily patched up with a transparent plastic covering. Inside pages are tanning but generally are clean and secure. A few pages of addenda and preface are missing at the front. This copy once belonged to the Scottish Conservative Club which may explain its battered state! If you think you might belong to 'the upper crust' and want to check out your lineage, this reference book is essential (unless your family were peasants before 1903, in which case you won't find them here). This hefty tome weighs more than 3 kg so it will incur an additional courier charge.
