These two volumes form part of a set in the Cass LIbrary of Industrial Classics. It is indeed comprehensive being a survey of the industry from mentions in the Old Testament to the machine era of the mid nineteenth century. Written primarily as a work of reference there are considerable supplementary tables and appendices with production and economic date. These copies were previously in the library of the University of Birmingham are in good condition and will be of interest to specialists or anyone studying textiles or weaving.
