The 4F Box shows the variety of folding, stitching, binding and other techniques in paper practiced at Shinohara Paperworks in Tokyo. Presented for the first time with English translation, the box contains 12 different examples of paper design technique. The box takes its name from the 4F Factory paper laboratory on the fourth floor of Shinohara Paperworks, where the set was developed. Shinohara Paperworks are part of the thriving community of binders, letter setters, printers and others that work in paper in the Japanese capital. Their precision and honed craft in working in paper have supported design-led creativity in Japan for many years.
