Michiel Folkers a.k.a. Gieler (1982) started graffiti in Amsterdam in the late 1990s. Years later he traded the street walls for canvas in his studio. In much of his work, the feeling of the streets can still be clearly seen or felt. This original artwork of David Bowie was created on a layer of spray paint, acrylic, pencil and torn street posters. These street posters have been collected from the Amsterdam street walls. The artwork is finished with an application of glossy lacquer. Ramspänd canvas-tavla.
