Scar tissue is made up of the same protein as the tissue which it replaces, but the composition of the fibers of the protein is different. The collagen alignment of the scar tissue usually has an inferior functional quality as compared to the randomized alignment of the normal collagen. The various studies that are constantly contributing towards advancing technologies of scar management are examined in this book in detail. From theories to research to practical applications, case studies related to all contemporary topics of relevance to this field have been included herein.
