Saundra grew up poor, with loving parents, living in the projects for eighteen years with Dad, a civil servant and Mom, a stay at home mother to me and my three sisters, with life being fun, joyful and happy. Saundra lived in Washington Heights for 20 years after becoming a Registered Nurse and Dietitian. Saundra is married to Italian-American husband, Peter Tesoriere, also a Registered Nurse. She had 50 years as a Registered Nurse and 35 years as well as a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Despite having lifelong dyslexia, she has a Masters Degree from NYU. She has been writing poetry since the fourth grade, as a result of playing 'rhyming Simon' with her Mom.
