O Pioneers! is a 1913 novel by American author Willa Cather. The first novel in her Great Plains trilogy, it is followed by The Song of the Lark 1915 and My ntonia 1918. The story revolves around a family of Swedish-American immigrants living in Nebraska at the turn of the twentieth century. At a time when most immigrant families were giving up, the protagonist Alexandra Bergson devotes her life to making a recently-inherited farm a profitable enterprise. A fantastic novel not to be those with an interest in life on the American Great Planes.
