The first thing I was taught in my creative writing class was to write what you know. Well, I know the struggle, addiction, alcoholism, failure, fear, hell, hope, faith, love, victory, and joy. And I know them all well! There are two people who have been most influential in my life. The first being Jesus Christ and proverbs 35-6--Trust in the Lord with all your heart do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths. The second being Vince Lombardi and his quote, Perfection is not attainable. But if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence. Wow! Now that's a dynamic duo!p
