Our Silver Cowrie Shell Necklace is part of our unique Tidal Collection. The necklace is minimalisatic with an organiclly shaped cowrie pendant. The cowrie shell has an incredible history, it has been used as a form of currency in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. In Nepal and India, it represents wealth and womanhood and used in certain ceremonies to worship the Goddess Laxmi. Our necklace is inspired from a Cowrie shell found on a sandy beach from Tulum, Mexico. This would make the perfect gift for family, friends or an ocean lover and can serve as a sentimental jewellery piece to remind someone of pleasant memories from a very special holiday or honeymoon. The Silver Cowrie Shell Necklace is handmade to order by our highly trained jewellers in our Brighton workshop from the finest sterling silver. The shell measures approx. 0.5cm width, 1.8cm length and 1.2 cm width. It includes an 18" chain.
