After 40 years of IC connections in Germany, the car park was mixed up in a colorful way. With the "IC mod." project, DB AG wanted to put an end to this state and had some pattern conversions carried out from 2009. From 2012, the series conversion began at the service plants in Kassel, Neumuenster and Nuremberg, with the cars receiving a new interior design in accordance with ICE standard, new doors, air conditioning and cabling.Contrary to the prototype PIKO sets on a complete new construction for the modernized IC-wagon. The vehicles are precisely converted in 1:87 scale and impress with their finest engraving and flush-mounted windows. The interior is reproduced in detail and is nothing inferior to the model in any way. The bogies also impress with many details, such as individually applied spring assemblies, magnetic brakes or imitation brake discs on the axles. A view under the car is also worth it.
