Unlike the prototype, the PIKO models of the three-axle conversion wagons did not use existing parts, but instead a completely new Expert model was constructed. The full-scale vehicles accurately reproduce the original down to the smallest detail. Individually set handle bars belong to the contemporary design as well as flush-closing, crystal-clear windows and a detailed interior arrangement. The loving design continues also on the wagon floor. It impresses with free-standing cables, a filigree brake linkage as well as shunting grips and metal catching rods. Like the prototype, PIKO conversion wagons are sold as short-coupled pairs and, thanks to the precisely guided close coupling kinematics, have a prototypical distance between the wagons. This new construction is rounded off by the optionally available interior lighting.
