ZEUS ZXE START-UPThe core piece in the drive of the Hifonics ZEUS EVOLUTION woofers is a powerful Y35 magnets with a diameter of 140 mm that drive large 64 mm voice coils. These are ventilated with thermally sensible pole core bores. Moreover, so-called "bumped" T-plates (pole plates) ensure a longer stroke that reaches up to +/- 17 mm (X-Max). While economical woofers usually use pressed diaphragms, the ZXE woofers rely on expensive paper diaphragm with double-stitched seams and are renowned for its particularly good sound. All these components give the ZXE sub a very good degree of efficiency of 92 or 90 dB at 2.83Volt/1m, i.e. even with small inputs the basses already create high volumes. The Thiele-Small Parameters are designed in such a way that ZXE woofers can be used to develop powerful bass reflex speakers with proper depth and even medium-sized, closed enclosures.
