Soursop Anona muricata L. Vell is a tropical fruit which is very rich in vitamin C and fiber. It is widely consumed because of its anti cancer compound present in the fruit. However, there were three 3 highly pathogenic fungal pathogens attacking the plant namely Colletotrichum gloeosporioides attacking the leaves, C. acutatum and Fusarium chalamydosporum that attack the fruits. The 3 fungal pathogens were identified molecularly through amplification of rDNA ITS region using species specific primers Cglnt for C. gloeosporioides, Cglnt2 for C. acutatum in combination with ITS4 universal primer and Ver ITS for Fusarium chalamydosporum. Based on fungicide assay, the three 3 plant pathogens were highly sensitive to Captan, Tebuconazole and Propiconazole Difenoconazole.
