The corner of the front endpaper and front free endpaper has been torn and is missing. The guard of the title page has a large horizontal tear. The final page of the index has been partially adhered to the rear pastedown. In the publisher's original blue cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Lightly rubbed to the boards, more so to the joints and the spine where there is some soiling. Bumped and rubbed to the head and tail of the spine, with a couple of closed tears to each.
