Higham sc.), wood-engraved tailpiece by Thomas Bewick; original drab paper-covered boards, brown paper shelfback, printed paper label on spine; small crack along the front joint, and the whole lightly worn, still a very good, sound copy. Dovaston's Fitz-Gwarine: a ballad of the Welsh border in three cantos with other rhymes, legendary, incidental and humorous was published at Shrewsbury in 1812, and in an enlarged edition in 1816. The present edition contains, among other additions, a collection of songs entitled "British Melodies" (some of them originally published in the "Selection of British Melodies" in 1817).
