This is a brief account of the author's wartime experiences.Written by H. M. Tomlinson (1873-1958), a British writer and journalist remembered for his anti-war work. He was a correspondent for the British Army in France during the First World War, but returned to England in 1917 to work on The Nation, a political journal which opposed the war. His other works include 'Gallions Reach', 'London River' and 'Norman Douglas'.This edition was limited to five hundred and twenty five copies numbered and signed by the author, of which this is No. 117. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding, with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally lovely, slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine only.
