George A. Ogle was a map and atlas publisher operating in Chicago until 1907, the year of his death. He produced visually appealing maps of the county and its components. his maps from this atlas are very seldom seen on the market. The color was printed at the time of publication. This is a truly remarkable map that portrays urban Illinois and an industrial environment. To the right is Lake Michigan with a band on industrialization running the lakefront. In the lower band is Thomas Brass & Iron Co. Western Coal and Dock Co. has similar space at the docks. What is remarkable in addition id the visual record of the industrial transportation landscape.
