Blessed with a windy undulating site, the famed hotel Manor Richelieu chose the talented and proven golf course architect Herbert Strong to design and construct the course. This is one of, if not the best, book layouts for a course description in the literature of golf. Beginning with the book's endpapers, illustrated with a drawing of the course by L. M., the introductory three pages relate "The Setting" for the course on the banks of the mighty Lower St. Laurence River.
