The predominant style is half timber, or what is variously known as Tudor, Jacobean, or simply half timber, and one sees in these renderings the type of club architecture that remains probably the most beloved and also the most quintessential, and one that evokes a more gracious past, whether the structure is grand, as a country club clubhouse, or more modest in scale, as say a private boathouse, or a garden folly, or a small stable. But one sees other influences and styles as well, including touches of Chinoiserie, and deliberately rustic and twig look.
