Published in London by William Mackenzie in 1880. The plates in this edition are mutli-block colour woodblock prints, printed with great care and precision.Artists and Engravers: These attractive plates were engraved by Benjamin Fawcett (1808-1893) after drawings by Alexander Francis Lydon (1836-1917). The text was written by Francis Orpen Morris (1810-1893). Fawcett was one of the finest wood engravers of the English nineteenth century. He collaborated closely with both Lydon and Morris. Lydon was an English watercolour artist, illustrator and engraver. He was an apprentice of Benjamin Fawcett. He collaborated with Morris on several large w
