ASOS originated at the University of Lund, Sweden in 1983, and this was the first time that it was held outside of Europe and the Americas. The meeting participants were a mixed international group from Europe, the Americas and Asia. This book represents a flavor of presentations made by internationally renowned experts, in a variety of fields relevant to the ASOS community.
