This adapter has a tapered NPT thread on one end and an AN / JIC thread on the other. Note: To ensure a complete seal on an NPT thread, a sealing compound in solid form (PTFE tape) or liquid form (sealant like Loctite) is used. Without this sealant, the thread will leak more or less.
